mother of one daughter, Betty. This marriage was dissolved
by divorce i n 1940.
In 1942 she married Charles Brickman, farmer i n the
Viking d i s t r i c t and has l i v e d there ever since. Lately they
have moved into the town of Viking. They have one daughter,
Mary.
She i s a tower of strength i n the Quinte W. I. She
was the f i r s t vice- president and held this o f f i c e for nine
years. Since then she has been the president of the branch.
As Constituency Convener of Wainwright Constituency she accomplished
much. Her capable manner, f r i e n d l y personality and
keen sense of duty won her many friends.
Besides her work i n the I n s t i t u t e , she i s an active
member of the l o c a l Home and School Association and a member
of the United Church.
A L i f e Membership was bestowed on Mrs. Brickman i n
November 1953 by Wainwright Constituency i n honor of her work
and l o y a l t y while holding the o f f i c e of Convener. It was a
well deserved tribute from her Constituency.
