Mrs. Kozdrowski joined the V/ arspite V/ omen's I n s t i t u t e as
a new member i n 1948, and from that time on, has served the
I n s t i t u t e continuously i n many ways. She wa. s branch secretary
for four years, branch president for four years, and V/ omen's
I n s t i t u t e G i r l s ' Club Leader f o r seven years, carrying on both
the 4- H and G i r l s ' Club programs. She was awarded the 4- H
Leader's f i v e year c e r t i f i c a t e of s e r v i c e . She also acted as
Constituency Secretary for a two- year p e r i o d . Active i n Home
and School A s s o c i a t i o n and the C a t h o l i c Women's League, she has
held executive p o s i t i o n s i n both at the l o c a l l e v e l.
In the f a l l of 1962, Mr. Kozdrowski resigned from h i s pos
i t i o n as p r i n c i p a l and j o i n e d the s t a f f of the Horse H i l l High
School, and the f a m i l y moved t o Edmonton. The Edmonton V/ omen's
I n s t i t u t e gained an e n t h u s i a s t i c , a c t i v e member.
Eor eight years Mrs. Kozdrowski served as E r o v i n c i a l Publ
i c i t y Convener f o r the A l b e r t a V/ omen's I n s t i t u t e . During that
• tine she wrote a weekly column of I n s t i t u t e news f o r the Edmonton
J o u r n a l , e n t i t l e d , ' The Spinning Wheel' - A c t i v i t i e s of the A l b e r ta
V/ omen's I n s t i t u t e ' . She a l s o contributed I n s t i t u t e news r e g u l a r ly
to the Western Producer, and arranged radio and t e l e v i s i o n i n t e r views
f o r p r o v i n c i a l o f f i c e r s and n a t i o n a l and i n t e r n a t i o n a l
v i s i t o r s . At the 1963 P r o v i n c i a l Convention, she resigned from
P u b l i c i t y and was appointed P r o v i n c i a l Convener of Education and
C i t i z e n s h i p . She i s a l s o c u r r e n t l y serving as V i c e - P r e s i d e n t of
the Edmonton V/ omen's I n s t i t u t e .
The Council of the A l b e r t a Women's I n s t i t u t e presented Mrs.
Kozdrowski with a L i f e Membership at the c l o s i n g session of the
1963 P r o v i n c i a l Convention i n r e c o g n i t i o n of her many s e r v i c e s , but
e s p e c i a l l y f o r her v/ ork i n p u b l i c i t y - a deadline she met every week
w i t h very few exceptions f o r eight years.
