Roberts of Vancouver, 3.0. and the couple have resided on the; farm south of Drumheller. Mrs. Roberts has been an a c t i v e member of Horse Shoe Canyon W. I. since 1924? having held a l l the o f f i c e s i n t h at branch. Dor s i x years ( 1939- 1945) she was Constituency Convener f o r Drumheller - Handhills Constituency. In August she was appointed D i r e c t o r of D i s t r i c t 5 and i n 1957 she was e l e c t e d to hold that o f f i c e f o r another two year period. Upon r e t i r i n g from t h i s o f f i c e i n May 1959 » the members o f D i s t r i c t 5 presented Mrs. Roberts with a L i f e Membership, an honour she t r u l y deserved a f t e r so many years i n the work o f the Alberta V/ omen's I n s t i t u t e s . She i s c o n t i n u i n g t o c a r ry on her e f f o r t s f o r Home and Country i n her new p o s i t i o n as P r o v i n c i a l V i c e - P r e s i d e n t , an o f f i c e to which she was elected i n May 1959- Mrs. Roberts was f o r s i x years a D i r e c t o r of the Canadian Cancer Society, A l b e r t a D i v i s i o n , as w e l l as eight years President of the Drumheller Centre Branch of the Cancer Society. She i s a l s o an a c t i v e member o f the Drumheller M u n i c i p a l Hospi t a l Board. Mrs. Roberts has always taken a keen i n t e r e s t i n community a f f a i r s . She i s a member of Knox United Church and belongs to the Women's A u x i l i a r y . She continues v i t a l l y i n t e r ested i n s c h o o l and e d u c a t i o n a l matters. At approximately 10.35 each Wednesday morning, Mrs. Roberts can be heard a i r i ng the Women's I n s t i t u t e News over Radio S t a t i o n CJDV, Drumheller.
