MRS. LAWRENCE BIESTERFELDT.
Florence and Lawrence B i e s t e r f e l d t were married December 5th, 1922,
and have made t h e i r name on the G l a s f e r d f l a t , i n the Orion Distri © t
ever since. Here they raised t h e i r family © f f i v e , four daughters,
and © ne son. The c h i l d r e n are a l l married. Mrs. Charles Berringer
( Lorothyj l i v e s I n M i l k River. Mrs. Paul Bosse ( Boris) i n V i c t o r i a,
Mrs. W i l l i a m Dumont( Doreen) i n R e d c l i f f , and Mrs. Robert Arndt ( Irene
i n Vancouver. Their son W i l l i a m , with L i s wife and two sons, l i v es
i n a second house i n the same yard, and farms with h i s parents.
Mrs. B i e s t e r f e l d t joined the Orion Women's I n s t i t u t e i n January,
1949, and has been a f a i t h f u l and valuable member through the years.
She served as President several times, for a period © f seven years,
and kept the Branch from disbanding. She served as Secretary- Teas,
f o r a while. She served as Constituency Convener f o r Mrs. H e i t r i ch
f o r a year. She has a t a l l times worked f o r the good of the Organi
z a t i o n.
I n appreciation of years of f a i t h f u l , continuous service of an
outstanding nature, the members of the Orion Women's I n s t i t u te
honored Mrs. B i e s t e r f e l d t with a L i f e Membership i n the A l b e r t a
Women's I n s t i t u t e s i n the Spring of 1967.
