Harry S. Trueman.
She married E a r l C. Hutchinson on August 22,1917, at Boise ,
Idaho. A month l a t e r he l e f t for France to serve as a s o l d i e r i n
World War 1. Pat f i n i s h e d Normal School and taught while he was
Overseas." In the spring of 1920 they moved to Canada and s e t t l e d on
a farm i n the United P r a i r i e d i s t r i c t , east of Warner. United P r a i r ie
W. l. was organized i n J u l y of that year and Pat became a member.
When i t disbanded i n 19^ 9 Mrs. Hutchinson joined Warner W. I.
Through the years she has served i n every o f f i c e at Branch, Constituency
and D i s t r i c t l e v e l i n c l u d i n g the Standing Committees and a
term on F. W. I. C. In her f i r s t year as D i r e c t o r she promoted l i b r a r i es
which resulted i n 16 being started. She started the Warner Memorial
L i b r a r y and gave 1? years of service to i t before r e t i r i n g from f u ll
duty there. Cook Books was the project f o r her second term— 1500
were published and sold. Requests for them came f o r several years
a f t e r they were a l l gone. During t h i s term she wrote a half- hour
program of V/. I. news f o r C. J. O. C. Radio Station, Lethbridge which was
broadcast weekly.
Mrs. Hutchinson i s the mother of three sons, John, Robert and
Ronald. There are 14 grandchildren and two great grandsons.
A l l through the years she has been a c t i v e i n church work, has
taught Sunday School and worked i n Women's organizations.
Since r e t i r i n g from the l i b r a r y work she has set up a G i f t Shop
i n her basement. She does a l l the handwork f o r her shop. Her hands
and mind are never s t i l l . S h e i s e f f i c i e n t , happy and contented.
