Mrs. l e s s joined the C h i r t e r w o l d V/ omen's I n s t i t u te
s h o r t l y a f t e r moving t o the Ealun d i s t r i c t and was branch
s e c r e t a r y f o r a number of years before the branch disbanded
and she joined the Ealun W. I.
Mr. Ness passed away i n 1934 and some ten years l a t er
Mrs. Ness s o l d her farm and bought a home a t Ma- Me- 0 on
Pigeon Lake. Her l i f e here has been f u l l of a c t i v i t y . She
b u i l t up such a t h r i v i n g business i n home baked foods that
she was forced to g i v e i t up. She has been a member o f the
l o c a l Boosterette Club which, f o r more than ten years, has
equipped and maintained the c h i l d r e n ' s playground i n t h i s popu
l a r r e s o r t . Her hands are never i d l e as she does much fancy
work and gardening and i s a c t i v e i n the V/ omen's A u x i l i a r y o f
the Ma- Me- 0 U n i t e d Church. She has f i f t e e n grandchildren,
some o f whom l i v e near enough t o v i s i t her o f t e n.
