HRS. E . R. HOSKINS Rhoda Myrtle Pritchard was born i n La R i v i e r e , Manitoba, March 22, 1889. Her parents, Isabella and James Pritchard, were of I r i s h descent. When she was only a. c h i l d her father operated a store at Swan Lake, Manitoba. Here she attended school and assisted her father i n the store. Many of the customers were Indians and Rhoda learned t h e i r language and found them very good traders. • Rhoda Myrtle Pritchard and Ernest Richard Hoskins were married on November 4 , 1910 and went to reside i n Melfort, Saskatchewan, where he was a p r i n t e r . Mr. Hoskins served i n the armed forces i n World War I , attaining the rank of Captain and winning the M i l i t a r y Cross at the Battle of Amiens and received the decoration from Eing George V at Buckingham Ealace.
