Jeanette has heen active as teacher i n the Anglican Sunday School, and organized the " Mountain View J o l l y Juniors" G i r l ' s Glub of which she was a leader for five years. One of the g i r l s , a Junior, won the Public Speaking Cup. Jeanette served as Community News Reporter for the l o c a l paper for six years. For the past four years she has taken time every two months to serve at the Kinsmen's supper meetings to r a i s e money for her shurch group. She served two years as Sec.- Treas. f o r the Mountain View Hall Board during which time the complete inte r i o r was remodelled. Jeanette joined the" Mountain View" W. I. i n 19^ 9 and has held seve r a l Branch offices and i s presently serving as President. She i s now involved i n compiling the Branch's History being Mountain View i s celebrating i t s 65th Anniversary. She i s also involved i n planning the l o c a l school reunion. She has spent hours c o l l e c t i n g woollens to be made into blankets; has assisted with showers for the l o c a l g i r l s and boys; and with catering to weddings, banquets and auction sales as well as c o l l e c t i ng regularly for the Cancer Fund. Her l i f e on the farm has been busy- she milked cows for her folks being she had no brothers or sisters and following her marriage she assisted her husband with the milking for forty years. During harvest she was kept busy taking meals to the f i e l d and hauling grain with the truck. They are now both looking forward to retirement. Jeanette enjoys keeping busy and finds farming a wonderful way o f l i f e . She loves home and country l i v i n g and enjoys her garden i n the summer and her many hobbies during the winter. In recognition of her dedication for " Home and Country" the •• Mountain View" W. I. presented her with a L i f e Membership.
