During her terms on Council of A l b e r t a Women's I n s t i t u t e s,
H o l l y chaired the Pornography Awareness Program i n A l b e r t a,
a s s i s t e d i n s t r a t e g i c planning for the A l b e r t a Department
of Home Economics " A D i r e c t i o n for the 90' s - Home
Economics Program Statement", and was responsible for the
implementing of the Rural C h i l d care P i l o t P r o j e c t , funded
by the Government of A l b e r t a , and organized by a committee
of r e p r e s e n t a t i v e s from f i v e rural women's o r g a n i z a t i o n s.
Over the years, H o l l y ' s greatest i n t e r e s t was the
environment. She was a member of the Rural Sub- Committee
of the Environment Council of A l b e r t a , and a member of the
T r a n s i t i o n Working Group which worked on the r e s t r u c t u r i ng
of the Council i n 1992. She worked on many b r i e f s,
i n c l u d i n g Maintaining and Expanding the A g r i c u l t u r e Land
Base i n A l b e r t a . Holly was also a r e p r e s e n t a t i v e at
Canada- Alberta Environmentally Sustainable A g r i c u l t u re
meetings, Farming for the Future Conferences and Winning
Women Conferences.
H o l l y has been a c t i v e i n her l o c a l community i n many
d i f f e r e n t areas - the Cremona School Parent Advisory
Committee, Public Speaking and Project Books, Judge for
4- H, g i v i n g P r o v i n c i a l Leadership T r a i n i n g Courses, and
v o l u n t e e r i n g where needed.
H o l l y loves gardening and her garden and yard are a source
of special pride and joy to her. she i s also known for her
e x c e l l e n t home- made bread and buns.
H o l l y and Bob s t i l l l i v e on the family farm and work
j o i n t l y with t h e i r son Dale i n i t s operation.
