Women's Institutes when they learned, with deep regret, that
' the Woods' had decided to move from Penhold and take up residence
i n the Twilight Homes i n Red Deer. Penhold W. I. members
reported ' though she w i l l not be with us i n person now, the
Alice Wood s p i r i t has b u i l t the Penhold W. I. into the splendid
branch that i t is and we trust to hold our record of service
i n the community',
The Penhold Women's Institutes presented Mrs. Wood with
the honour of a L i f e Membership i n November 1959 s h o r t l y before
the couple l e f t the community.
The snapshot shows Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Wood. She was
reluctant to have a picture taken without her l i f e - l o n g partner.
Since i t is a very good picture of this splendid couple i t has
been included.
