She had an amazing capacity for remembering names and people
and she made a host of friends far and wide.
In 1953 Mrs. Morton was presented with a L i f e Membership
i n the Alberta Women's Institutes and was the recipient
of a Coronation Medal i n the same year.
During the two years previous to her passing on October
17, 1953, Mrs. Morton suffered the loss of her eyesight
but she did not give up her interests i n the organizations
which she had so long been connected with. Mrs. Morton was
a wise counsellor, a loving friend to many, and her memory
w i l l long be revered by a l l who laiew her. Truly the minister
at the funeral service expressed the thought of a l l : " She hath
done what she could".
