) MRS. J—. E. DeWINTER J Lizzie Smith was born September I, I895. Following her completion of Ruhlic and High School she took her teacher training and taught for many - years i n country schools. She married J. E. DeWinter and when the family moved to the Enilda area in 1928 she continued teaching. Lizzie DeWinter was a charter member of the Enilda Women's Institute and worked for" Home and Country" for many years. Through the years she held a l l offices at Branch level and served a term as Convenor for the Gfrouard Constituency i n District One. Mrs. DeWinter devoted much time with children's recreation programs. For her dedicated and faithful service to the Women's Institute she was presented with a Life Membership by the Enilda Women's Institute. Lizzie DeWinter passed away August 2?, 1973•
