serve as Constituency Convenor. This o f f i c e was i n t e r r u p t e d a f t er
three and one h a l f years when she suffered a heart attack. N e l l ie
Davies completed her term as Convenor.
She i s always ready with some humorous b i t to b r i g h t e n the meetings
and f o r years has been our ever f a i t h f u l p i a n i s t . Olive and
husband A l l a n r a i s e d a family o f two c h i l d r e n and have two grandc
h i l d r e n.
Several years ago she and her husband turned the farm over to
t h e i r son and r e t i r e d to Didsbury. Though not a c t i v e l y involved due
to distance and i l l health she i s s t i l l keenly interested i n the work
of the Women's I n s t i t u t e . }
I f you were to v i s i t her home you would see some very nice o i l
p a i n t i n g s and p a s t e l s as w e l l as some red ribbon crewel work adorning
her w a l l s . Olive i s an ardent member o f the" Five 0 Club" i n
Didsbury and has her weekly Bridge sessions with her neighbors and
her f r i e n d s . Olive i s one who believes i n keeping mind and body busy.
In appreciation of her f r i e n d s h i p and i n r e c o g n i t i o n o f her
dedicated service to the I n s t i t u t e her f e l l o w members f e l t she was
deserving of the L i f e Membership presented her by the " Fugby W. I."
