Mrs. Allan E l l i o t of Eawson Creek, B r i t i s h Columbia.
Two c h i l d r e n were born i n the l i t t l e pioneer town
of Grande P r a i r i e , Grace and Douglas. Douglas died during
an epidemic of measles i n 1929* Grace i s at present ( 1959)
t e a c h i n g R. C. A. E. c h i l d r e n i n B. qden- Soellingen, Germany.
Mrs. Wishart i s a Charter Member o f Grande P r a i r ie
V/ omen's I n s t i t u t e which was formed i n September 1924. She
has served terms as branch p r e s i d e n t , t r e a s u r e r and a l so
Constituency Convener of Grande P r a i r i e Constituency. She
was a t i r e l e s s worker as w e l f a r e convener d u r i n g the war
years and l a t e r i n post- war work. Her modesty and charm
have earned the esteem and a f f e c t i o n of a l l V/. I. members.
Her s k i l l i n many forms of h a n d i c r a f t - her l i f e time hobby-has
been put t o good use i n the V/ omen's I n s t i t u t e and i n her
u n t i r i n g church work. The U n i t e d Church and the Women's
A u x i l i a r y are a r e a l part of her l i f e .
Mrs. Wishart was given a L i f e Membership i n the A l b
e r t a Women's I n s t i t u t e s i n A p r i l 1959 by the Grande P r a i r ie
Women's I n s t i t u t e.
