Some o f our more i n t e r e s t i n g r o l l c a l l s t h i s year were:
everyone to wear a hat to February meeting, t e l l of your most embarrassing s c h o ol
day moment and suggestions f o r sandwiches. Our average attendance was l l j and
our average v i s i t o r attendance was 2£.
In the summer we held a p i c n i c j o i n t l y with the F. U. A. We
a l s o shipped wool i n the f a l l and r e c e i v e d as premiums 2 b l a n k e t s , which we w i ll
keep u n t i l a use f o r them a r i s e s.
In March, the month of S t . P a t r i c k , Mrs. J . Sawyer on winning
the contest was presented w i t h a shamrock. At our May meeting, Mrs. E. P i e r ce
p r o v i d e d the entertainment w i t h a " farm" c o n t e s t , e . l . What i s a union of large
b u s i n e s s ? Combine. What Is a man's nickname? Jack. Mrs. Warke won t h is
c o n t e s t and was presented w i t h a d o - i t - h e r s e l f window c l e a n i n g k i t .
Our b i r t h d a y b a r r e l donation was the number o f pennies on
which date our b i r t h d a y came, e . i . March 7 was 7 cent3. Mrs. E. P i e r c e r e c e i v ed
as her b i r t h d a y g i f t from her S e c r e t S i s t e r two boxes o f bedding out p l a n ts
of her c h o i c e to be picked up at her convenience from a l o c a l f l o r i s t . Her
b i r t h d a y i s In May.
Mrs. R. C l u t t o n and Mrs. M. Meschefske became mothers of sons
Kenny and B e r n a r d r e s p e c t i v e l y.
Mrs. J . M o r r i r o e , C o n s t i t u e n c y Convenor, on v i s i t i n g us at
one of our meetings commended us on being such a busy group. We t h i n k we
manage q u i t e w e l l , c o n s i d e r i n g mumps, measles and any number of problems we
each encounter.
