Mrs. Irma Lawrence i s F r i e d a ' s s i s t e r and our expert i n sewing. She shares her
g i f t as a t e a c h e r . Irma and Bob's c h i l d r e n are P e t e r , Gr. 1, Kathy 4 y e a r s,
and Margo 2 y e a r s.
M i l d r e d Dreeshen always came up w i t h the best ideas a l o n g w i t h a l l the fun she
c r e a t e d . M i l d r e d and Joe and f a m i l y l i v e i n Red Deer. C h i l d r e n : Don, 3rd
y e a r E d u c a t i o n ; Ted, one year NAIT; and C r y s t a l i s i n Gr. 5.
Margaret Underwood was a most h e l p f u l member when we most needed the support
way back i n 1956. Margaret and Ronnie have one m a r r i e d daughter, Sharon,
and two sons, D i c k and Ralph.
Mrs. E r n i e Brauer was a v e r y s t r o n g s u p p o r t e r as P. L. W. I, became o r g a n i z e d.
Mrs. Brauer was a r e a l homemaker w i t h e x c e p t i o n a l s k i l l s i n sewing, baking,
and p i c k l e making. Donna V i n c e n t complimented Mrs. Brauer by saying," She can
make something out of n o t h i n g . " Maureen B a l l i s the daughter of Mrs. Brauer.
Mrs. D o r i s B e c k i n g s a l e has always been a great W. I. member. She has a keen
i n t e r e s t i n her community and accomplishes so much i n her q u i e t way. K n i t t i ng
i s her f o r t e . Mr. and Mrs. R. T. B e c k i n g s a l e l i v e on the shores of Pine Lake.
M a r c i a Pope i s one of our young members whom we a p p r e c i a t e . Marcy and David
have one d a r l i n g daughter, C o r r i e Ann.
Mrs. W. Hawkins i s p r e s e n t w i t h h e r daughter, Mary Morgan. I t i s a t h r i l l to
have you here and may you be granted many more happy t i m e s . I remember being
so proud of my 18 month o l d daughter, Debra, who r e a l l y f i r s t walked at Mrs.
Mrs. Hawkin's meeting.
I s a b e l l e Beck has always been a very busy lady whose l i f e r e v o l v e d around a
summer r e s o r t and her f o u r c h i l d r e n : Nancy, Gr. 10; L a u r e l , Gr. 8; B e t t y - L o u,
G r . J ; and L y l e 5yns.
Blanche M i t c h e l l i s from Howell's Lake. She i s our f o r t u n e t e l l e r and always
has a smart h a i r do! Blanche and Stan have t h r e e sons- 1 - Wayne, Lawrence and
Derek and one daughter, Morna.
Dorothy Dawson a l s o h a i l s from Howell's Lake. She i s a g r e a t cook and so
capable at our t e a s . We've l a u g h t e d t o g e t h e r and shared Dorothy and Leonard's
sadness when t h e i r son, A l l a n , was so t r a g i c a l l y k i l l e d . Janice i s t h e ir
20 y e a r o l d daughter.
Annie A l l e n became a member i n 1956 o n l y . Although not a c t i v e i n our branch,
she i s always a welcomed v i s i t o r . She i s committed to her church and her s i x
g r a n d c h i l d r e n . Annie has one son, W a l t e r , and her daughter, Irene D u f f i e l d,
was a P. L. W. I, member when she made her home i n P i n e Lake. Irene has f i v e sons
P i e r r e , Roger, Robert, Darcy, and E a r l.
B e t t y Whittemore can c l a i m ' Mother of the Year'. She i s a good cook and sews f or
her f a m i l y p l u s - c o n t r i b u t i n g to h e r community. Betty and B i l l have t w i n s , Dale
& D a r r e l Gr. 9; Brenda Gr. 8; G a i l Gr. 7; B r i a n Gr; Gordon Gr. 2.
L i l l i e C l u t t o n , my s i s t e r , i s a f a i t h f u l member as i n d i c a t e d by her p e r f e ct

Echo Noyes j o i n e d our branch the f i r s t time she v i s i t e d us. She was a s t r o ng
f o r c e i n our branch. Echo and Garry have t h r e e c h i l d r e n , Saan, Lace and Blue.
Pat H a m i l l i s a t r u e teacher w i t h a great concern f o r people. Pat and B i l l
l i v e i n B u r n t Lake and have f o u r c h i l d r e n : Sharon, B e t t y , Robert and L i n d a.
