Handicrafts - Made a branch q u i l t for the Tweedsmuir Competition.
Sponsored Macrame lessons taught by Mrs. P. Winter
Samplers and purses were made. Mrs. Winter was presented with a Bon Voyage
corsage as she embarked on a t r i p to Holland. The presentation was an expression
of thanks for her expertise as she had received no salary.

Cancer Canvass - c o l l e c t i n g $ 148.50
Fire Victims - A. Woodrow and L. Beck families lost their homes
to f i r e . Each family was given a g i f t of ten dollars i n value. ; Coffee Party - Annual event netted $ 73.64.
W. I. Corner - Continued maintenance of corner with planting
flowers and cutting the grass.
Summer Swimming Lessons i n the Red Deer Pool. 71 ( 30 from Pine
Lake & 41 from Delburne) took advantage of the learn to swim program.
F a i r Entry - F i r s t prize of $ 15.00 was realized.
Halloween Party - 29 children & 10 adults enjoyed the evening.
Stock Taking at " Fashion Fabrics" i n August. $ 84.38 was realized.
Annual Family Christmas Supper - 47 i n attendance.
Surprise get- to- gether f o r Marion Brown as the Brownswere about
to leave f o r a winter vacation i n New Zealand and Australia.
Charity Bazaar i n Parkland Mall i n Red Deer - 250 jars of jelly-netted
$ 91.00. Sewing hams were also constructed for this sale as well as baking
and other handicrafts.
Kitchen Band - This FUN band performed at the P. L. W. I. 17th
birthday party, " Ladies' Day" at the Red Deer Fair and the December Pine Lake
Community Christmas concert.
