While the county got scant response to a questionnaire on proposed provincial p a r ks branch boating regulations, the replies received indicate users of Pine Lake and Sylvan Lake are generally tolerant of power bjats, water skiers' and surf board enthusiasts. Of the 24 people replying at Pine Lake, seven wanted no change in regulations; none wanted all boats off the lake; two wanted power boats eliminated; five for an eight- miles-per- hour speed limit; two for prohibition of power boats tawing a person on water skis; and four wanted a combination of the mentioned speed limit and towing . written into regulations. Only five responses were received from Sylvan Lake making the opinion inconclusive. Council also: • approved the district EMO budget and voted $ 567 as its share of support; • discussed a report on the county's 16 livestock pounds.
