Education For Widows Will Be Discussed Educating women for widowhood doesn't sound like a very cheerful topic. It isn't. However it is a realistic one. The average woman will, according to statistics, outlive her husband by seven to ten years. Far too often the i n i t i a l period of mourning is compounded by 1 eg a 1 and property problem s. PREPARES WOMEN . . Mrs. A. E. Chapman j A woman should prepare for loss of her husband just as she did for marrying him. " Educating women for widowhood" is the theme of the I Estate Guide panel program to ' be held in Penhold Hall Oct. 1 | at 8: 00 p. m. The panel will be moderated by Mrs. A. E . Chapman of Regina. TO INFORM Mrs. Chapman has conducted many such panels throughout Canada. She urges that people put their affairs in order now and save much needless difficulty after death. Mrs. Chapman stipulates that no " sales pitch" will be given by any of the panelists. The purpose of the panel is to inform women o: responsibilities that will fall to them in the event of their husband's death. The panel members at the . Penhold meeting, will be tawvex. J. K Holmes, W.' D. C. deBalin hard, B ank of Mon tre a 1 m an a ger; R. Callaghan, Eventide Funeral Giapel director; and a representative from the Canada Pension Plan. A discussion o wills, legal matters, banking estate planning, life insurance and funerals will be followed by a question and apswer period. " People wonder ' what's the gimmick,' but there isn't one." Mrs. Chapman says. Men and women alike are invited to attend the progra m; there is no admission charge and the women of Penhold Women's Institute will serve coffee.
