Annual Coffee Party featured a Quilting Display Red Deer Westerner Group of FIVE entry - 1st - C15.00 Expressed objection to naked dancing i n bars J e l l y project - Sales by orders - $ 330.20 ( Gross) Congratulations go to Douglas and Carole Sawyer who were married Aug. 17, 1991 a n " John & E l l a Sawyer on their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Sympathy was extended to M i l l i e Munro on the death of her mother, Nellie ( E. A.) McDonald, on Jan. 11 and her son George, February 23, 1991 Words of sympathy were also extended to Grace Grover on the death of her husband Stan, on May 6, 1991. CONSTITUENCY ACTIVITIES: Developed " Waterways" map with Hillsdown W. I. won the most points inC otnhset it'uOevnecry 80H aynedaircsr'a ftc aTteeag o& ry D. isplay - Dorothy Herbert Constituency Conference - Marion Brown was o f f i c i a l delegat Constituency Convener, Trudy Carson, requested that $ 25.00 be sent to the AWI Office Fund instead of buying corsages for AWI O f f i c i a l s . L i l l i e Clutton and Kathleen Lawrence also attended. Meals on Wheels - 14 dozen cookies ALBERTA WOMEN'S INSTITUTES PROJECTS: D i s t r i c t III Conference at Camrose - Gayle Olson ( Delegate) and Doris Warke attended. FLWI participated i n " Recycling" Poster Contest. Donated sale gifts for conference silent auction were: Cloth shopping bag ( Mario Brown), Doily ( Kathleen Lawrence), Quilted hot mat ( Gayle Olson). Ellen McLean was guesPt rospveinakciearl. AWI Convention - Doris Warke attended. Dr. AWI hosted two Nicaraguan Women at Olds, April 21. Marion Brown chaired the event at which 35 men and women were present. ASSOCIATED COUNTRY WOMEN OF THE WORLD: Supported WOMEN FEED THE WORLD, UN Project „- 180, which was changed to the LIBERIA NUTRITIONAL PROJECT ($ 44.45). Recognized World Food Day by serving plain banana bread and water. Hosted W. I. v i s i t o r s at the home of Isabelle Beck. They had come to Pine Lake on a ' Time Share' vacation to the Ghostpine Lake Resort ( Former Pine Lake Hottl). Marion Brown NEW HUB up in record time lot* 7
