A L B E R T A WOMEN'S INSTITUTES — » — — — * ~ » Department of Agriculture Offers Rural Communities: Agricultural Schools at Olds and Vermilion providing courses in agriculture for boys and Home Economics for girls. Minimum age 16 years; no academic requirements; reasonable cost. Field Days and Short Courses are sponsored and speakers supplied to discuss agricultural subjects. Women's Extension Services— Lectures and demonstrators are provided for groups of women in rural districts. Practical short courses may be arranged. Junior Clubs— Training and leadership is given for young people on the farm through a system of junior clubs. School Fairs— Agricultural instruction and fairs for rural schools are carried on through the Schools of Agriculture. District Agriculturists are located at various points throughout the province to assist farmers with their problems and to promote activities that wll improve rurol life in their districts. Agricultural Publications on farm and rural problems are distributed on request.
