T E N T H A N N U A L C O N V E N T I ON o n " S o c i a l H y g i e n e . " One I n s t i t u t e held two b a b y c l i n i c s and several d i d local relief w o r k. M o s t branches h a v e h a d extension courses in m i l l i n e r y , d r e s s m a k i n g or b a s k c t r v. T h e s e courses are p r o v i n g v e r y p o p u l a r and h e l p f u l. T h e Conference was held at V i k i n g but owing to h e a v y r a i n and bad road-was not so well a t t e n d e d as usual o n l y fifty- fine being present, but in e v e r v other respect it was ir. cst successful. H i b s t o n e C o n s t i t u e n c y reports much assistance to school and school fairs. One I n s t i t u t e p l a c e d two p i c t u r e s i n t h e i r school at a cost of* $ 30.00, another gave c h i l d r e n a good time at a s c h o o l p i c n i c , and a n o t h e r d o n a t e d a Hag a n d flagpole to t h e i r s c h o o l. One I n s t i t u t e r e p o r t s a r e s o l u t i o n at t h e i r December meeting, " t o a t t e n d their meetings on t i m e . " This same I n s t i t u t e has organized a non- denominational S u n d a y School i n the d i s t r i c t . Another gave a H a l l o w e ' e n p a r t v to seventv- hve y o u n g people. M u c h local relief is r e p o r t e d. T h e C o n s t i t u e n c y Conference w i t h seventy- eight in attendance was held at H a y t e r . This Conference voted 850.00 f r om t h e i r C o n s t i t u e n c y F u n d to the Proh i b i t i o n C a m p a i g n . Splendid music was also a feature of this Conference. C a m r o s e C o n s t i t u e n c y . The H o n o r H o l l to be placed i n schools for pupils G r a d e V I I I w h i c h was r e p o r t e d last y e a r to be u n d e r c o n s i d e r a t i o n is n ow an accomp l i s h e d fact, a n d as " O u r P o y s a n d G i r l s " is the slogan for t h i s C o n s t i t u e n c y much a t t e n t i o n has been g i v e n t h e m b y p r o v i d i n g p a r t i e s , c a r n i v a l s , r i n k s , tennis courts, e n t e r t a i n m e n t s a n d school f a i r prizes. A m o n g t h e several sjx> akers who have addresse d v a r i o u s I n s t i t u t e s appear the names of M r . O t t e w e l l , M i s s M a c m i l h m and Miss Agnes M c P h a i l , o n l y woman member in the D o m i n i o n House. M u c h c h a r i t y w o r k has been done, one I n s t i t u t e reports h a v i n g adopted an o l d l a d y of 83 years a n d also a f a m i l y of five c h i l d r e n. A very successful Conference w i t h t h i r t y - s e v e n in attendance was held at R o u n d H i l l where r e p o r t s s h o w e d that greater a t t e n t i o n was being g i v e n to p r o v i de good p r o g r a m m e s and less t o the r a i s i n g of funds.
