League of Nations, 1932- 33. j
1. If possible, appoint a League of Nations Convener in each Institute
branch, and urge that reports be made regular!}' to the constituency and
p r o v i n c i a l conveners.
2. Devote at least one meeting during the year to the study of the problem
of Disarmament and W o r l d Peace. The problems of war debts and reparations
and the tariff p r o b l em might well be studied, inasmuch as they affect
the question of W o r l d Peace.
3. Offer prizes to high school pupils for the best essay on some subject
dealing w i t h W o r l d Peace. Poster contests for which prizes are awarded
may be held in the junior grades.
4. On or about M a y 18th or November 11th, hold a public peace p r o g r am in
w h i c h the young people of all nationalities represented in your district
participate. On this occasion have the p r i z e - w i n n i n g essays read and the
posters displayed, and prizes awarded.
5. Present at least one book dealing w i t h the work of the League of Nations
or W o r l d Peace to your school l i b r a r y during the year.
6. Co- operate with your teachers to have Peace Day, May 18th, suitably
observed in a l l schools.
7. Advocate a yearly peace service on the Sunday nearest to May 18th or
November 11th. Be sure to have your young people assist in the singing
and in other ways.
8. As soon as possible, obtain a copy of the International Peace P o l i c y and
take action concerning it.
9. Send good papers, press articles and suggestions for the work to the
p r o v i n c i a l convener for distribution among the branches.

Clubs was held at the Olds School of A g r i c u l t u r e on J u l y 5, 6, 7 and 8 w i th
52 delegates and visitors registered. Twelve clubs out of the forty in the
province were represented.
