PRESIDENT'S NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 1986
To make plans for our year's activities we must have
some ideas and directions to guide us. A newsletter Is just
that and we hope each Branch Secretary will read it to the
members and then keep it handy for reference.
PRIORITIES FOR PROGRAMS:
I. CHILD CARE;
2. HESTING MANAGEMENT;
3. STRESS;
4. CONSERVATION;
S. SAFETY;
Issues and Problems.
Public speaking etc.,
As it relates to every
member of our family.
All aspects but considering
" Water" and Its importance.
Dorothy Williams as our
Safety Coordinator will
develop her program around
our study projects and
will be available to come
to your communltites to
promote safety awaresness.

coloured paper. Copy these for your members so they will
have the guidelines.
WORLD FOOD DAT;
October 16, 1988. plan an event reaching our to help those
less fortunate.
RESOLUTIONS;
They are so important- don't leave them to the deadline date
of March IS, 1989, get them in to June Lore as soon as
possible. Suggestion is that you send her a copy of your
resolution even If you wish to take it to be passed at the
Constituency Conference, then if It is passed or defeated,
let her know.
ACWW I9TM TRIENNIAL CONFERENCE;
Kansas City Missouri. September 21 to October 1, 1989.
AWI will possibly have a tour in conjunction eith the
conference. ( further Information on this later).
A. W. I• 88TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR 1989.
All through the year we plan to have special events. One
being planned for July Is a " Gigantic Picnic" at Lea Park
( Vermilion Area) to unveil the Cairn to commcrate where the
first Branch of A. W. I, was started.
A. W. I. 88TH ANNIVERSARY CONVENTION;
Will be held in Olds college June 5 to 8, 1989 and will be a
special one. Plan to have a delegate there.
FWIC COOK BOOK;
These are now available from the A. W. I. PROVINCIAL OFFICE at
a cost of:
S13.00 per copy If picked up from the office
SIS. 50 per copy if mailed out
ACWW
We will continue to support ACWW for 1989 with the cost of a
loaf of bread per member. This will complete our pledge or
obligation that we promised throe years ago.
ALBERTA ADVISORY COUNCIL ON WOMEN'S ISSUES;
A symposium is set for November 5 6 6 1988 at the Edmonton
Convention Centre. Plan to attend. For more information call
422- 0668.
ALBERTA FARM WOMEN'S NETWORK;
They are sponsoring the 2nd Alberta Farm Women's Conference
January 25,26,27,1989 at the Capri Centre - Red Deer.
Brochures are available fro the AFWN, 9623 83 Street Edmonton
T6C 3A3.
LOTS OF PLANS AND ACTIVITIES TO KEEP OUR BRANCHES LIVELY AND
EXCITING
WE MUST REMEMBER THAT ONE DETERMINED PERSON CAN MAKE A
SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE, AND THAT A SMALL GROUP OF DETERMINED
