sure to read my article in Home and
Country for more information about the
project. I will be travelling to all Districts
in the Province this fall to deliver and
provide a short workshop on the project.
All branches should leave one program
night open this winter to study the project
and decide how to best offer the
information to your community.

FEDERATED CONVENTION
June 6, 2000 is fast approaching and many
members will be thinking about travelling
to Brandon, Manitoba for the Triennium
Convention. Because of the size of the
venue, attendance numbers for each
province have been established. These
numbers are pro- rated as to total
membership in each province, and
therefore vary throughout Canada.
Alberta's numbers have been set as
follows: 2 Board members ( President
and Federated Executive Member); 10
Voting Delegates; 26 Members; for a
total of 38 members. Of the 10 Voting
Delegates, 7 will consist of the five
District Directors and two Executive
members. The remaining 29 can be
members throughout the province. As
soon as we receive the registrations from
the Federated Office, Alberta members
may apply for a registration. These will be
numbered and registrations will be filled
on a first- come basis. More registrations
may become available once all the
Provinces fill their registrations and
vacancies are known. The AWI office will
keep a waiting list of any requests over
our allotment, and will forward
registrations as we are made aware of
vacancies from the Federated Office. I
trust you will agree this is the most
efficient and fair way to offer our
members an equal chance to attend the
2000 Convention. Watch your Home and
Country for further registration details.
