GOOD IDEAS. Darwell WI had a display at their local fair this su-mer and handed out a page with all their local emer gency and other phone numbers of local interest They put the AWI logo and information about their branch on the back Glendale WI hosted a Judges' Workshop for inter ested members in the hope that they would be willing to help judge handicrafts at Constituency Conferences in their area for a small honouranum or expenses Perhaps other branches or Constituencies would like to follow up on this excel lent idea in their area Marwayne WI co ordinate a community Monster Bash at Hallowe'en every year, in a local hall Other community organizations are involved, and it is a wonderful adver tisemcnt for their branch Stony Plain WI will be hosting their third annual Cottage Crafters sale this November They rent a hall, rent out tables to crafters advertise and provide lunch and a bake table An information sheet on WI and the branch is handed out This has proved quite a successful fund raiser BUY A FRIEND A BETTER TOMORROW Gi\ e a person who has everything or your neighbour, or your secret pal the perfect gift frendship, education fun What is this perfect gift you ask7 Why, a WI membership of course" Try it and see what happens Another good idea that has been suggested in the past is a donation for a birthday or anniversary in their name to the office fund If you hove any ideas to make our organization run more smoothly please pass on those ideas THANK YOU.
