P R E S I D E N T ' S N E W S L E T T E R S E P T E M B E R 1 9 93 WELCOME TO ANOTHER W. I. YEAR Your new Council met for two full days of meetings in September and made plans for the coming year. First of all, I would like to welcome MARILEE KOSIK to the position of DISTRICT 2 DIRECTOR. Unfortunately, Marilee felt she could not continue being Membership Coordinator and District Director so we are currently looking for a new Membership Coordinator. Watch for more news on that front soon. THE PRESIDENT'S CHALLENGE TO ALL BRANCHES WHEN YOU ARE DONATING MONEY FROM YOUR BRANCH. CONSIDER GIVING 5 0 * TO W. I. PROJECTS ( be it OFFICE FUND. WOMEN FEED THE WORLD. PEACE GARDEN. HOODLESS HOMESTEAD, OR PENNIES FOR FRIENDSHIP) and 50* to your community or other • organizations. The EVALUATION FORMS from Convention were very positive. Thank you to all members who took the time to fill them out, and particular thanks for many helpful suggestions for next year. REMEMBER:... all A. W. I, members are eligible to attend the Federated Women's Institutes of Canada Triennial Convention in Truro, Nova Scotia, June 2- 6, 1994. Details will be sent out when they are available. PLEASE LET US KNOW Other than membership and new branches, what do you consider the main issues that you Would like to see addressed ( if possible) by the new Council? Watch For BOB
