I would like to bring to your attention that nominations for Life Membership in the Alberta Women's Institutes can be made to the Provincial President and If approved by the Executive would be presented at Provincial Convention 1984. Criteria for this was sent to branch secretaries or refer to page 11 & 21 ( second whereas) of 1980 - 81 Report Book. Dates of District Conferences and Workshops are as follows: District 1 November 2 and 3, 1983 Grande Prairie District 2 February 14 and 15 1984 Grey Nun Centre Edmonton District 3 February 21, 1984 Norseman Inn Camrose District 4 March 13, 14, 15, 1984 Medicine Hat District 5 March 5,6,7, 1984 Entries for the Book of Remembrance and Resolutions have a March 15, 1984 deadline. The Nominating Committee for election of officers at Provincial Convention are: Chairman: Mrs Marie Plalzier Mrs Bette Ballhorn Mrs Ethel Morrisroe Nominations are open for President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, District Directors for 1,2,4, and 5. Many requests have come into the office re tag's for Constituency Conferences Handicraft and baking competitions. Council decided to have them made up again. There will be a small charge of . Zi each and are pale green in colour. Oltve Meyer Is looking after the twinning project - with Prince Edward Island.
