ALBERTA WOMEN'S INSTITUES Cont'd.
Kneehill Valley Constituency Conference - April 2, 2005 at Trochu Hall Three members
attended to hear speaker Barb Clarke speak on " Personal Directives" exemplifying the AWI Mission
Statement.
Office Fund - Branch contributed $ 61.25
Alberta Women's Institutes Provincial Convention 2005 — June 7,8,9, 2005 at Camrose
with the theme, " Let's Celebrate Alberta ". Marion Brown and Kathleen Lawrence attended Pine Lake
W. I. donated $ 75.00 in animals toward the FWIC Ranch Competition. Marion Brown presented the
completed 2000- 2003 FWIC History to President Margaret Yetman who graced the convention.
Edmonton Legilative quilt viewing tour - July 14, 2005 - Faye Nicholson, Roy and
Marion Brown enjoyed the bus tour which included, Edmonton, Devonian Gardens and Leduc supper.
Roy and Marion Brown and Mervin and Roberta Peters were recognized as they celebrated their 53
and 43r wedding anniversaries respectively.
Jan. 06/ 05 - Lieutenant Governor Lois Hole dies at 71 years.
FEDERATED WOMEN'S INSTITUTES OF CANADA
FWIC Convention 2006 supported by monetary donation, love boxes etc. Marion Brown
serves on the planning committee as Financial Chairman.
Adelaide Hoodless Homestead fund supported @ $ 2.30 per member.
Continued correspondence with Twillingate W. I., Newfoundland via e- mail with Dianne
Vatcher.

Calvin Louis Wattenbarger married Jennifer Johnson July 16, 2005 creating a blended
family of two sons and one daughter.
