The weather wa4 more kind this year than Ust and Mrs. Montgomery was able to get a m c e favorable impression of the north. Unfortunately for us, we clashed in date with the Chatauqua and the New Outlook special train so that the attendance was very small. But we were not discouraged and planned a second conference this year. However, w i t h the existing economic conditions, it has been decided to cancel this until finances arc better. Much better rcDorts have been received this year from the branches and I must thank the Conveners and officers who. undaunted by the stress of the present depression, have upheld the highest ideals of the W . I . and contributed so much to the success of the work in the district.
