ALICE ELIZABETH GALLIE
Alice was bora in the Manfred District on December 7, 1911 to Frank and Julia Kerik, the second
of seven children. She attended Shultz school and then finished her education at Bashaw scchool.
On November 25 she married her childhood friend Louie Gallie. They farrmed near Bashaw until
1963 when they moved to the town of Bashaw. Louie died shortly after and Alice worked for
many years at the Bashaw hospital When she retired, she spent many hapy hours in her garden
but also took several trips to interesting places such as the Arctic where she dipped her hands in
the Arctic Ocean.
Alice was a member of the Bashaw Women's Institute, joining in 1980 She was the last charter
member of the C. W. L. and spent much of her time working for both these organizations She was
a delightful person, always with a smile on her face.
Alice leaves three sons, James, Michael, Lawrence, five daughters, Valerie, Margaret, Delores,
Kathleen, and Jennifer, as well as 21 Grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Sister Mattie
Clark, brother Nick Kerik and many nieces nephews and other relatives. The Mass of Christian
burie! was held at the Catholic Church Bashaw on March 3, 2001 and interment follwed at
Bashaw Cemetery . Alice will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
