DELBURNE BRANCH OBITUARY ELSIE BARBARA BERG Elsie was born in Calgary February 22, 1923 to Robert and Florence Alderman. She was a " city" girl who became a " country girl" when she married Bud Berg of Lousana on August 8, 1947. She had a teaching career of 34 years in that area. She raised twochildren, daughter Alice ( Mike) Kowalczuk of Sylvan Lake and a son Larry ( Fiona) Berg of Edmonton. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, the company of friends, and community gatherings. She always had a garden and flowers and found good in everyone she met. She was with the Delburne W. I. for 5 1/ 2 years and secretary for 4. She had a kitchen band and they performed at the Constituency Conference that was held in Delburne, as well as at other community gatherings. She worked part time for years at the library as well. Elsie was predeceased by husband Bud, an infant daughter, Mary Irene, her Father Robert and Mother Florence, She is survived by her daughter, son, four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services were held at the Lousana Community Hall Friday June 29, 2001. A suggested memorial would be to plant a tree in memory of Elsie. She will be sadly missed by her W. I. group as well as all who knew her.
