Hazel Stiles Scholarship $ 500 to be awarded annually to a Women's Institute member who wishes to take training to further her education or qualifications in areas related to cultural activities, to benefit both self and community. Regulations 1. Applicant must have been an active member of the WI for the past five years. 2. Applicant shall submit a letter of application which should contain the following information: ( a) personal data relating to application; ( b) purpose and plan for which- the money will be used, for example, training, travel, accommodation; ( c) specific outline of training program; ( d) expected benefits from the proposed training to self and community. 3. Cultural activities to be interpreted as painting, music, drama, creative writing, creative heritage crafts and the like. 4. Instruction should begin within six ( 6) months of notification of scholarship and terminate within thirty ( 30) months. 5. A letter of recommendation is required from local branch, such letter to include detailed involvement in branch activities by the applicant. 6. Application to be received in the A. W. I. Provincial office no later than January 25, 1993. 6604 82 ave., Edmonton. AB T6B 0E7 Federated Women's Institutes of Canada Scholarship Committee is responsible for judging and final selection. The successful applicant to be notified by April 15 with official announcement to be made at the Board meeting.
