SPEAKERS Her Honour, The Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, The Honourable Lois E. Hole will open Convention 2000. We are pleased to welcome her as a long- time friend of AWI and as out newly installed Lieutenant Governor. GMO Panel A panel of knowledgeable persons in the field of Genetically Modified food products will offer their expertise on this important and topical discussion area. Time will be allowed for questions of the panel at the end of their presentations. Banquet Speaker Noreen Olson a long- time member of AWI, brings her own sense of humour as she tells her stories of friendship in AWI. Provincial Archives Dr. Claude Roberto ( Private Manuscripts Program) brings a wealth of information on what to save, and how to cull through those boxes of papers that move around the branches. Wise Owls A group of volunteers who provide information to alert against phone fraud. Handicraft Brenda Willsie, once again will offer an interesting new craft - Pattern Darning. A supply fee of $ 3 must accompany your registration. SPECIAL GUESTS ACWW - Elizabeth Rushton - Area President FWIC - Faye Mayberry - President Elect Women of Unifarm - Florence Troutman - Pres. The Friends that have bound Alberta Womens Institutes together over the years will all be special guests as we celebrate the threads of friendship that tie this organization from the 90 years past long into the future. Stories of these friendships will be shared throughout the convention
