Our aims are to promote leadership among women, to encourage local community development, and to assist women both locally and globally. The Alberta Women's Institutes are affiliated with Federated Women's Institutes of Canada (FWIC) and Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW). Home and Country is published three times a year. Deadline for submissions are February 1, July 1, and October 1. Submitted articles should be no longer than 300 words in length and are subject to editing. Berwyn WI Wins Handicraft Award Zella Pimm Accepting the Handicraft Award for Berwyn WI are left to right Mary Lundgard, Zella Pimm and Frances Bogner B wi erwyn WI won the Provincial Handicraft Competition Award at the 2007 AWI Convention in Camrose. This award is presented to the WI with the most points for one branch. Three Berwyn members, Frances Bogner, Mary Lundgard and Zella Pimm, and two Grimshaw members Diane Smith and Marie Plaizier, attended and had a great time of learning and fellowship with women from all across Alberta. 2
