Scratches can be disguised by rubbing over it with a wax crayon (children's or specialty) of a matching color. You can also use shoe polish, eyeliner, or eyebrow pencil of the same color that will do the same thing. To help prevent scale in a kettle you could try emptying the kettle after use or place a small, rough seashell into the kettle. The seashell is said to attract the scale and prevent the scale from being deposited in the kettle.wi Ode to Constituency Convener (19591963) Mrs Erline Suddaby 1917-2004 By Myra Francis, Shady Cove W.I. The Institute once more will pause to salute a friend who helped its cause; Who took the torch and held it high, At a time it seemed to die, Whose willing voice said? "At least I'll try". And busy though she knew her life, Who filled with duties mother wife; So much to do indoors and out She cheerfully wheeled her truck about And chose a full fledged constituency route. (there were 10 branches then) With much more to learn along the way She still refused to make us pay So wisely stretched the mighty dollar The financial report set up no holler Although her job was now white collar. One made of much less sterner stuff Would have found at times the going rough The time with Ida and Mrs Thorne When they embarked for Kinsella one beautiful morn Without a hint of mechanical storm. Up and down those lonely hills The engine purred with right good will Till a sudden lurch forewarned a flat There Secretary, District Director and Convener sat! Till two men Hansen and Newby came to bat. They arrived in Irma an hour late Feeling slightly shaken up by this stroke of fate But Erline seemed poised and unperturbed As she rallied the Conference that fate disturbed And the warm respect of members procured. Her genial manner, her friendly air Have given her an unexpected flare For just this work she's done so well So to her lot a Life Membership fell It completes the story I've tried to tell.wi Ethel Perrott Ethel Perrott of Berwyn Women's Institute passed away December 24 at the age of 80 years.
