Now, to get my suggestions. I n the
first_place, the shelter should be in
the cellar (as recommended) and it
should be divided into two rooms.
-One room V should .'beapproximately
7'x4' and the other about 7'x6'. The
smaller: room: should contain a long
benchi: clothes hooks, and some.
shelving; A 'cooler for .refreshments
mlght also be nice, but this is not
necessary. The larger room should
have. plumbing brought i n : to: provide
for hot and cold water tapsi a n d If,
possible,;a shower; A:drainage system
IS also necessary. Against one w a l l
there'^should be two tiers of benches.

Vancouver. — It seems the time
for the annual tour of the Sisu
club ai^d the Finnish Organization
has come around again. For this
:year's Tuisku weare:planningwhat
we hope to be a longer and better
organized effort. With last year's
hectic trips behind us, i t should
be.
Last year we seemed to run short
of time oneach occasion, and;;once
were _even two' hours late for a
sh6w. .However, I think this was
due to lack of sleep (night driving).
When the group finaffy sacked i n ,
they were not inclined to get up as
early irt" the morning as was
planned.
As to the calibre of the show,
well, the dancers and musicians
have improved cohsiderably i n the
past twelve months. They intend
to present the same routine „which;'
w'as' so successful ät the. Mid-Sum-mer
Festival in June. To add
humour, the play " K i h l a u s " w i l l be
presented."'And to* round o u t t he
progfa'm"-we will^have individual
performers doing their beat. .
On ^0 other things. The Sisu
club~will be holdinghan, af f air to
raise money ' for "Vapaus." An
exact date has not yet been set, but

Ali of the little ones (and in some cases, not-so-little'
ones) v/ill be back at school this week7 ;
- Education is a wonderfui thing, and we think the younlgs-ters
are ali for it in spite of Shakespeare's reference in "As
You Like It", to the student "creeping like a snail" to his'
classes.
' But, what about the parents, aunts, uncles and older
friends of <these students? We hope that they have not given
up their education because they are no longer required to
go to organized schools.
Our W o r l d is becoming more and more exciting every
minute of the day. The only way to keep up with things is
to study. V ~ - ^
"Study what?" you ask. — The only thing we can say
is "anything and everytliing." Are there new technological
advances in your trade or profession? Maybe a night school
course is available from which you can learn about them.'
Are you sorry that you never finished high school? There
are many night and correspondence courses that could help
you. Perhaps you are wondering about the terrific economic
and political changes that are happening in the world. Or
how much do you knovv about the new nations that are
emerging from the ruins of colonialism? And if you think
you know enough about this earth of ours, what about that
new dimension — space.
As we said -it is a very exciting world, and it becomes
even more exciting as we gain in knowledge. You can learn
a lot just from the experiences of life, but we are firm be-lievers
in the adage about theory and practise both being
necessary.. _
Give the idea of "going back to school" some thought.
To some it might mean investing in a public library card

whatever you decide'to do in this direction, you will never
regret.
