It is one of those gloomy f ali
days, v h e n it feels as If it has been
raining forever, and winter's first
c h i l i brings prtmiises of noi-so-pleasant
lihings to come. Nature
surely takes care of its own, for
thinlc - how really depressing it
CöUhi be if it wasn't for' a l i the
gorgeous colouis of the leaves as
they change colour almost in
front of your eyes — and such
breathta'king shades of reds and
yellows — impossible to describe.
There is something about going
for a walk in this weather — I
personally look for any excuse to
bundle iip and head out to -explore'
as the ehildi-en say. This is pump-kin
weather — HaIloween w€ather
— and there is nothing surely to
eompare with the smell of di-y
leaves burning.

Auiumn seems to have come early
to Belleville this year — or rather.
aarlier than say in Toronto. Or
perhaps it is moi-o noticeabie to

The studcnt in the Seminar

family in the Scandinavian couiitiy
of his choice, using the language
daily and sharing in the activities of
the community. For the major part
of the year he lives and Studies
among Scandinavians at a Folk
High School — a residential school
for young adulls. He is completely
separaled from his fellovv American
.studcnt.s throughout the Seminar
year excepl during the periods of
intensive language, in.struction and
during the three general courses
conducted under the supervi.sion
of the Seminar's American direclor,
Dr. Adolph G. Anderson. Dean of
Ne\v College of liofslra University.

at the gymn rehearsal last Sunday,

gymn number which sounds pretty
exciting. Thesc are just a few of

and I am sure there are many
