ja slaavilaisten järjestöjen yhteinen

viidennelle tilalle Kaministiquan si­vuliikkeen
ehdokas Anita Korpela.
Koska näiden juhlien järjestäjä­nä
toimi kolme osuusliikettä,-niin ei
tässä yhteydessä herätetty alusta-vastikään
International osuusliik­keen
30-vuotisjuhlan merkitystä. Se
samoin kuin vuosijuhlien järjestä-minenkm

that the Alerts and Speed
clubs are neck and neckbut that
the points should only be slightly
over the one hundred mark asäi

announced. However, that is
a maUer that can only be setUed
by the officials.
Again this year. Speed*s Tauno
Saari was the top individual point
getter. He talUed a total of 25
points in the under 21 class and
helpedhis club get'points in the
Swedish Relay and the men's 4x100
relay. Tauno took gold medals in
the broad jump, hopi step and jump,
pole vault and 800 m. and helped
his club win a gold medal i n the
Swedish relay. Tauno was entered
in raost events and placed in every-tbingbut
the 1,500 m; discus and
javelin.
The next most valuable athlete
who has a very bright f uture ahead
of him is Karl Krat? of the Jehu
club. Karrs main competition:t.was
in the under 17 class, in whicb he
cstablished'a new'record:in the 800
m. run with his time of 2 minutes
and 17 seconds. Karl got a^total of
24 points and won 3 gold medals in
the under 17 class events and an
additional one for the 1,500 m- in
the under 21 class. In his own class
he mastered the broad jump, 800
m. and the javelin. He placed se-cond
in the high jump. 100 m. and
shot and sneaked a second in the
under 21 class hop, stea and jump.
Karl also helped his club to get se­cond
place in the Swedish relay.
The next one in line for pomts
would be Ron Furlani of the Alerts
club who has competed at Liittojuh­las
for the second time. In the un­der
21 class. competitions he picked
up 4 gold medals and helped his
club win the men*s 4x100 relay.
Ron got his medals.in the 100 m.
200 m. and 400 m. and the high-jump.
He also took third place in
the hop, step and jump, pole vault,
shot and' discus and räp in ihe Swe-.

aikaa asunut ja' työskennellyt
sekä suomalaisten keskuudessa hy­vin
tunnettu Arvo Lindroos kuoli
pitkällisen .«lairaudcn jälkeen heinä­kuun
23 pnä 1056. Kaksi päivää
ennen kuolemaansa hän oli jo lie-:
dottamassa tilassa "eräässä paikalli-'
scssa sairaalassa. Mikäli tiedetään,
Lindroos sairasti korkeata verenpai­netta
ja joutui viimeisten vuOsiem
aikana olemaan useamman kerran
sairaalassa. Kovalla työmiehen si-suUa
hän yritti kitenkin vmiltä käy­dä
