I must start trriting again as I

Margaret, had a good Valentine's Day,
r had fun. W€ had a party at school.
played games and had eats.
There was a bingo game here last
night at the U_A..C. hali. I -Kent and
won one game. For the prize I got
a dollar. , The card. that I won wlth
TCas the one I had laken vrhen I first
started pla>-ing but meanwhile I had
taken anothsr card. Öne of my schtJol
chums wanted to trade cards so I
traded and it was the card I had first.
3he said I'd probably win and I did.
Was she ever disg^isted!
Dad and I went to the Valentine's
dance hsre. We enjoyed ourselves, at
1 least I did. We^got home about 3 asn.

OUT cat has had a sore leg for two

I have had quite a bad cold. At
schcol we play hopscotch. There are
S of us girls playing but usually the
boys come and i^^css up our game.
When we go in ths school they leave it
alone though. There vsre tliree girls
i n my grade but one inoved to "VVinni-peg.
Her name is Jean. Last year
Jean aiid I were in grads 4 but our
teacher. Miss Bilinoky, put us into
gracie 6.
Soon -«e will be having our Easter
exams and I h^ope to do better than I
did at Christmas time.
There is so much snow out here that
the dogs can hardly get into ths fields.

Weil, I finally got dovm to writing,
it sure is time I did. I want to thank
sister Margaret for the nlce gift.
The weather out here has been quite
nice for the last few days.
Ame-Levanen and I are janitors at
the schpol now. We washed the floor
on Sunday. We took scme pictures at
the school.
The Junior Farmers of whlch I am
a member held a dance on the 18th
of Peb. A few weeks ago we had a
sliding party. Did we ever have a lot
of fun! •
Dad is now in Shilo. ManitOba but
he is.coming home for a visit on the
4th. • ,
I wLsh summer \vould hurry up and
come because I ,am tired of Winter
ah-^ady.
We had a Valentjne party-at the
sohool. I was master of ceremo^ies
for the programme we had. It was
made up of songs and ^recitations.
Afterwards we had lunch knd played
games. WeaLso had a Valentine-box
Dadsent me a camera fcr my blrth-day.
I have already taken many

JOur .sow will soon have a calf. I

I wish spring wouId come soon.

My motlier just went to get milk
from Hovi"s. We have to buy our
milk since our bows'are going to
freshen soon. I hate »hen we don't
get enoiigb milk.
My brother is home from school
today. He says he h a s a pam i n his
stomach and beside» he cut his finger
with a knife last night. The cut isn't
very big though. ,.
The big plougb was widening this
road last Tuesdayso I guess Its Wide

We had a big ski-meet here at Bea-ver
Lake on Peb. 13th, sponsored by
our club Jehu and the participatlon
was great. I had th? honour of meet-
.ing two boys from Klrkland Lake,
Kalevi Mähönen and — Oja, I can't
remember your first name. I hope to
see you fellow.5 next summer, our t a -

Round Lake to Arvo Malti's for a vislt.
The slalom hill i.s at my gramma'6
and to us its quite tricky but to the
Sudbury fellow.s, Suominen and P o u tanen,
it was smooth going, TliLs is
our first year i n this sort of skiing but
not our last.
• One Of Jehu'.s honorary membsrs,
Selim Kolari, died Tuesday, Peb. 15th.
He was a trapper and wa8 on the
way to his traps with his partneri
Mr. Orre. He dicd of a heart attack.
We boys at schcol have a small rink.
The Nairn boys came down lR.st f r i -
day to play against iLs. Beavcr Lake
won. It wa8 hockey but of course
not like the NHL.

a good book but I havent tiniished

the hlll. There were places to go

of the hill when they were going

when he was going l o stop. Did they

I beb there wcre thousands of cars
there and many people, too. Th?re
were f our Iines of cars on the hlgh-way,
a long^llne of cars on each
side of the road and cars going both
ways, They had made two parklng
lots for cars but we parkcd our
truck on the highvay. We got mlXed
up In the crowd too. We could önly
go ahead a few feet and stop and
we had to keep that up for an hour.
Then wo finnlly got out of the crowd

as many cars as I saW that day, We,
then went to my unclels plaee and
got oUr grocerles wiilch we had left,
there. W€ decldpd to go to,the F i n nish
Hall In Port Arthlir to See the
boys' gym numbers. There wa8 the

many other Interestlng thlngs. I

started for home when It was over.
When we got close to home there
was a car In the dltch and a cran^
wns pulllng it out. While we were

I took my 3 weasel5 to town,and
got $3 for them.

was opencd on Thursday, Peb. 24th.

played games and had eats.
There was a bingo game here last
night at the U_A..C. hali. I -Kent and
won one game. For the prize I got
a dollar. , The card. that I won wlth
TCas the one I had laken vrhen I first
started pla>-ing but meanwhile I had
taken anothsr card. Öne of my schtJol
chums wanted to trade cards so I
traded and it was the card I had first.
3he said I'd probably win and I did.
Was she ever disg^isted!
Dad and I went to the Valentine's
dance hsre. We enjoyed ourselves, at
1 least I did. We^got home about 3 asn.

OUT cat has had a sore leg for two

I have had quite a bad cold. At
schcol we play hopscotch. There are
S of us girls playing but usually the
boys come and i^^css up our game.
When we go in ths school they leave it
alone though. There vsre tliree girls
i n my grade but one inoved to "VVinni-peg.
Her name is Jean. Last year
Jean aiid I were in grads 4 but our
teacher. Miss Bilinoky, put us into
gracie 6.
Soon -«e will be having our Easter
exams and I h^ope to do better than I
did at Christmas time.
There is so much snow out here that
the dogs can hardly get into ths fields.

Weil, I finally got dovm to writing,
it sure is time I did. I want to thank
sister Margaret for the nlce gift.
The weather out here has been quite
nice for the last few days.
Ame-Levanen and I are janitors at
the schpol now. We washed the floor
on Sunday. We took scme pictures at
the school.
The Junior Farmers of whlch I am
a member held a dance on the 18th
of Peb. A few weeks ago we had a
sliding party. Did we ever have a lot
of fun! •
Dad is now in Shilo. ManitOba but
he is.coming home for a visit on the
4th. • ,
I wLsh summer \vould hurry up and
come because I ,am tired of Winter
ah-^ady.
We had a Valentjne party-at the
sohool. I was master of ceremo^ies
for the programme we had. It was
made up of songs and ^recitations.
Afterwards we had lunch knd played
games. WeaLso had a Valentine-box
Dadsent me a camera fcr my blrth-day.
I have already taken many
pictures with it. » .
JOur .sow will soon have a calf. I
hope we don't have to stay long with-out
milk.

going to rise up to 15 above today.
I wish spring wouId come soon.

My motlier just went to get milk
from Hovi"s. We have to buy our
milk since our bows'are going to
freshen soon. I hate »hen we don't
get enoiigb milk.
My brother is home from school
today. He says he h a s a pam i n his
stomach and beside» he cut his finger
with a knife last night. The cut isn't
very big though. ,.
The big plougb was widening this

We had a big ski-meet here at Bea-ver
Lake on Peb. 13th, sponsored by
our club Jehu and the participatlon
was great. I had th? honour of meet-
.ing two boys from Klrkland Lake,
Kalevi Mähönen and — Oja, I can't
remember your first name. I hope to
see you fellow.5 next summer, our t a -
mily Ls supposed to drivc down io
Round Lake to Arvo Malti's for a vislt.
The slalom hill i.s at my gramma'6
and to us its quite tricky but to the
Sudbury fellow.s, Suominen and P o u tanen,
it was smooth going, TliLs is
our first year i n this sort of skiing but
not our last.
• One Of Jehu'.s honorary membsrs,
Selim Kolari, died Tuesday, Peb. 15th.
He was a trapper and wa8 on the
way to his traps with his partneri
Mr. Orre. He dicd of a heart attack.
We boys at schcol have a small rink.
The Nairn boys came down lR.st f r i -
day to play against iLs. Beavcr Lake
won. It wa8 hockey but of course
not like the NHL.
