We Come

delightful climate greatly resembles Ontario This
similarity in cnchanting scenery and climate make3
a Finn feel very much at home in Canada Finnish
past history is like that of Canadian pioneers and
their present vievpoints are likcwise similar Finns
love freedom and the democratic order of society
vhich they have found here Already the new gcne-ratio- n
of Finns has adjusted itself inseparably into
the Canadian population and the older gcneration
vould do the same if they could overcome the diffi-cult- y
of learning a new language Even though they
speak English imperfectly at heart they are good
Canadians Young Finns may be found in ali valks
of life in universities the different professions in
the skilled trades even by the thousands in the armed
forces although one would not ahvays recognize thcm
by their names since many have been changed into
English A Finn has one distinct virtue in vhich he
is unsurpassed: If he claims to be a Canadian he is
that in heart and soul He can ahvays be trusted in
good days and bad
