I fead about your idea äbout writing letters to the "Perheen nuoremmille". Y ou said that you wpuld write the letters ali i n Finnish beffre tliey are put i n the paper.. I think i t is a very good idea because I can't write as much i n Finnish as I can i n English and if I write English then you can trahslate i t into Finnish. ' I hope you understand what I mean. Weil, Christmas is over and every-body is wondei:ing if the month of January is going to be a cold month or not. I t tumied very cold last nlght and boy, was i t cold this morning! I didn't even feel like getting out of bed. I went to a double feature show last nlght. I saw "Kazan", ä show about a nice white' husky dog. It was very sad. Then I saw Gene Äutry i n "The B i g Sombrero". It was a very gcod show. Do you go to mäny £hows, sister Margaret? I read Esko Harju, the boy who has written to this page för many years, has stopped writing. I wonder if any boy will write as often as he did. I would quit writing also but I'm so fond of: writing letters, I have 10 pehpals, ali giris. I have 4 girls to write to i n Finland, 3 of which are my coqsins, 1 in Scotland, 3 i n Ontario, one is Irma Heinonen who wntes to this paper, 1 i n Nova Scotla,: and 1 i n British Columbia. Dear big sister Margaret.
I thought r d write now since Pm
in the mpod for writing letters. I fead
about your idea äbout writing letters
to the "Perheen nuoremmille". Y ou
said that you wpuld write the letters
ali i n Finnish beffre tliey are put
i n the paper.. I think i t is a very
good idea because I can't write as
much i n Finnish as I can i n English
and if I write English then you
can trahslate i t into Finnish. ' I
hope you understand what I mean.
Weil, Christmas is over and every-body
is wondei:ing if the month of
January is going to be a cold month
or not. I t tumied very cold last nlght
and boy, was i t cold this morning!
I didn't even feel like getting out of
bed. I went to a double feature
show last nlght. I saw "Kazan", ä
show about a nice white' husky dog.
It was very sad. Then I saw Gene
Äutry i n "The B i g Sombrero". It
was a very gcod show. Do you go
to mäny £hows, sister Margaret?
I read Esko Harju, the boy who
has written to this page för many
years, has stopped writing. I wonder
if any boy will write as often as
he did. I would quit writing also
but I'm so fond of: writing letters,
I have 10 pehpals, ali giris. I have
4 girls to write to i n Finland, 3 of
which are my coqsins, 1 in Scotland,
3 i n Ontario, one is Irma Heinonen
who wntes to this paper, 1 i n Nova
Scotla,: and 1 i n British Columbia.
I also write tp my big sister and
some of niy other relatives some-times.
I really endoywriting letters.
I would like more.penpals but I don't
dare ask for anymore bscause my
mother giets mad because t always
use up a l i her stationery, Wrlting
paper doesn't last long i n this house.
I haven't been skating muchlately
but I have been sewuig. Y^oull never
c^tch me fiewing very mtich. Tm
not interested i n sewing, knitOng or
crocheting. I got a nice thing to sew
from Finland butgee, I don't know
when m get is aU done, ITI teli
you when I finish it. I really should
bs ashamed of myself for dolng so
little needlework but when I'm not
interested tliafs that.
Weil, I guess ru close now because
i t just struck 4 o*cIpck and thafs the
time I have to feed the cattle.
