ESESOVAC OTTO PRED SUDOM Biv§i ucitelj i oficir u kon-centraciono- m logoru u Buc-henwal- du optuzen za sauce-snistv- o u ubojstvu Krnsta Thaelmanna, predratnog vo-d- je Komunisticke partije Njemacke. BONN (Tanjug) — Prcd Porotnim sudom u Krefeldu kraj Koelna pocelo jedno od najkarakteristicnijih antinaci-sticki- h sudenja poslije drugog svjet-sko- g rata. Na optuzenickoj klupi je Wolfgang Otto, 73-godis- nji penzioni-ran- i ucitelj i bivsi esesovski obersarfi-re- r iz koncentracionog logora u Buc-henwald- u, optuzen za saucesnistvo u ubojstvu Ernsta Thaelmanna, predrat-nog lidera Komunisticke partije Nje-macke (KPD) i jednog od uglednih po-litica- ra Vajmarske Republike. Otto je pripadao odjelenju koman-dos- a koje je, u noci izmedu 17. 1 18. augusta 1944. ubilo Thaelmanna. Otto porice da je sudjelovao u torn ubojstvu. Sudenje je, inace, zatrazenojos 1962. dok je jos bio ziv poljski logoras Mari-ja- n Zgoda (umro 1967.), koji je bio slucajni ocevidac ubojstva, ah su ga nadlezni pravosudni organi odgadali sve do sada. U sudnici se pojavila i Thaelmanova kcerka Irma, koja inace zivi u Njemac-ko- j DR i koja vec vise od dve decenija uporno inzistira na ovom procesu.U-mjest- o krunskog svjedoka Zgode, na sudenju ce se pojaviti policajci i tuzioci koji su ga svojedobno od 1949. do smrti, saslusali tri puta i njegovo svje-docen- je upisivati u sudske protokole. Zamje-ni- k direktora odjeljenja za meduna-rodn- e veze kineske Komunisticke partije Ven Chu Liang cetiri sata je razgovarao s vodom KP Austrije Franzom Muhrijem i drugim rukovo-diocim- a austrijske Komunisticke partije. Tom prilikom je odluceno da kineska i austrijska Komunisticka partija ucvrste medusobne partijske veze i da razmjene delegacije. (Xinhus) PAKISTAN PRITVORENI VOBE OPOZICIJE ISLAMABAD — Dvije trenutacno vodece licnosti pakistanskog opozi-cijsko- g saveza "Pokret za obnovu de-mokraci-je" (MRD), Gulam Mustafa Dzatoi i generlani sekretar Havadza Hajrudin stavljeni su u sedmodnevni kucni pritvor u Karaciju, a jos neko-lik- o opozicijskih voda provesti ce sli-jedec- ih sedam dana u "preventivnom pritvoru" u glavnom kara&jskom za-tov- ur. Istodobno, provincijske vlasti Sinda zabranile su ulazak u ovu pro-vinci- ju opozicijskim politicarima iz drugih dijelova zemlje, a one koji su se zatekli u Karaciju deportirale su unjihovegradove. HIGH LEVEL DELEGATION TOURED CANADA At the invitation of the Canada-USS- R Association a 4 member delegation from the Soviet Union toured Canada, visiting Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancou-ver to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the ending of the Second World War and the 40th Anniversary of the United Nations Organization. At the same time they came to celebrate the 25th Anniver-sary of the Canada-USS- R Association. The delegation consisted of Dmitry Za-brodi- n. Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation of USSR, KirillKu-van- . Candidate of Geological Studies, Vice Chairman of the USSR-Canad- a Society, Vasily Zagoruyko, Deputy Mayor of Odessa and Igor Serediuk, Deputy Mayor of Lvov. In Toronto the delegation was hosted at the CN Tower, visited Niagara Falls, tou-red the city and they were taken shopping, sightseeing and laid a wreath on the Ceno-taph in fornt of the old City Hall to pay respects to the Canadian veterans and those that died in the struggle against Hitler fas-cism Unfortunately the Mayor's Office of To-ronto did not allow the group to lay the wreath at 11 a.m. together with other orga-nizations at the official ceremony on Re-membrance Day, but assigned them only 2.00 p.m. when everyone was gone. Ne-vertheless the Committe of Canadian War Veterans of the Canada-USS- R Association organized their veterans and together with the daily press and TV in attendance paid homage on behalf of Soviet War Veterans and explained to the press what happened k IS Art on behalf of the Mayor's office.
