Description | Mr. Appleby was a teacher at the Winding Trail School in 1933 (west of Baptiste Lake), the Tawatinaw School (five miles SE of Athabasca) and at the Lahaieville School. He talks about his time teaching, the curriculum, trustees, politics and life on the Appleby farm. Mr. Appleby discusses many of the milestones in the Athabasca area including when Calgary Power arrived, and how automobiles affected everyday life. |
